WHERE TO FIND US

We are located in “El Palmar” Beach, which belongs to Vejer de la Frontera in Janda, Cadiz. This is one of the few places along the Andalusian coast that are practically virgin with no land speculation and construction. The beach is a 7 km white sand spread along the Atlantic coast, with magnificent sunsets, beautiful natural scenery, perfect waves and very nice local people and many more…

Another attraction of El Palmar and its vicinity, aside of SURFING, is the gastronomical and cultural offering. Barbate is famous for its tuna fish. Vejer de la Frontera and its town is a historical site; Conil de la Frontera, Caños de Meca, Zahora, Zahara de los Atunes, Bolonia and its Roman ruins, Punta Paloma, Tarifa… places of great natural beauty with tons of history and which remain pretty much untouched.

  • Route of the Patios to get to know the authentic “Casa Vejeriega”, visit the most significant patios, located within the old town. These patios, are mostly privately owned, and contrast with the facades of the houses, sober and white of lime, with the color of its plants. Some of these patios are single-family, although most of them are neighborhood patios, establishing very particular neighborhood relationships around them. The City Council of Vejer, with the aim of contributing to the maintenance of these patios, has established a contest that is held in the month of May, in which the best maintenance of them is awarded. www.vejertour.com

  • Natural park of la breña and marshes of Barbate.
It is the smallest protected area in Andalusia and also one of the most beautiful. It has an area of 5077 hectares, of which 940 run through marine areas. This large pine forest was declared a Natural Park in July 1989. Despite its size, it is a unique Natural Park because it concentrates three totally different ecosystems: marine, marsh and terrestrial, which is subdivided into cliffs, dunes and mountains. Therefore, it has a great environmental wealth.

  • Ornithology. The Barbatean coast is located in a strategic and privileged place to observe the migrations of birds, as it is located in the passage from the European to the African continent, and from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. This creates a constant flow of migratory birds, including the white stork, the black kite, the European honey buzzard and the European short-toed. More than 200 different species have been described that can be observed in the municipality of Barbate, of which 23% are sedentary, 14% are summer nesters, 21% are walking and 24% are wintering. The rest are summer nesting species that are also seen during migrations or sedentary species that increase their populations in winter. Therefore, bird watching becomes an ideal activity to do at any time of the year.

Conil de la frontera

Conil is undoubtedly a select destination for sun and beach tourism. It is one of the towns in the region with more atmosphere, especially in summer, partly due to the luxurious urbanizations that surround it. Large masses of pine forests, such as those of Roche or El Colorado, often reach the beaches, contributing to their being preserved virgin.

  • Beaches and coves.
The coastline is striking due to the absence of buildings on its coasts. Certain historical events have been those that have led to its conservation in a virgin state, providing the viewer with a strange sensation of a unique landscape. The special geological conformation of the coasts has resulted in two different types of beaches: those of the north, in the that the most resistant materials have been exposed to the action of the sea, which has given rise to multiple coves and cliffs, and those of the south, in which the sea has acted on soft and horizontal materials, generating wide and inexhaustible beaches with a great sandy accumulation. This coastal peculiarity has always allowed the practice of nautical sports, so the municipality has a good infrastructure. Sailing and diving have traditionally found in Conil an ideal place for their practice.
